Ethel L. Lawrence

Ethel Lawrence, 85, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2016.  She was born in Edgecombe County, NC and was the daughter of Henry and Mary Thomas.
She was a member of Christian Antioch Church in Christ.  She was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers, and her husband Aaron Lawrence.
Ethel leaves to cherish one sister, Mozetta Thomas; three daughters, Jacqueline Gray (Willie), Deborah Boone (Charles) and Gwendolyn Herndon (William Jr.); four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, 12 Noon at Christian Antioch Church In Christ, 2200 Palmer St., Portsmouth, VA.
