James Andrews

James “Jimmy” Andrews born January 25, 1919 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Moses and Lonnie Andrews was called home to glory on Monday, November 13, 2023 with family by his side. He is predeceased by a brother, Robert Andrews; a sister, Sara Andrews; his wife of 69 years, Elsie Rodgers Andrews; and a grandson, Nathan R. Lovett. When asked the secret to his longevity he would always say “hold to God’s unchanging hand”. God held his hand and said “Well done, good and faithful servant;” James Andrews’ work here was done.

He leaves to mourn his passing a daughter, Rae R. Fields; a devoted granddaughter and grandson in-law, Tyrone and Naomi Riddick; grandsons, Anthony I. Lovett, Ronald F. Williams, Jr. (Kim), William L. Scorpio (Helen), and Christopher I. Fields. Along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
