Robert Willis
April 5, 1937 - May 8, 2025
A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is still: a link is broken in our chain,
which never can be filled.”
Born in Scotland Neck North Carolina on April 5th, 1937, To the proud parents of Percy
and Mildred Willis.
Mr. Willis, graduated from Booker T. Washington High school in Norfolk, Virginia and
upon graduation he went into the Air Force and trained as a radio electronic specialist
on military airplanes for 4 years. He then went on to teach electronics in Jamaica to
under privileged children through the peace corps. Upon his completion in the peace
corps he then attended Old Dominion University where he achieved his bachelors in
economics. After graduation he traveled around the world all the way to Africa. He
settled in California working for United Airlines as an electronic radio specialist. Mr.
Willis then decided to come back home to Portsmouth, Virginia where he retired and
became a devoted and loving caregiver to his parents until the Lord called them home.
He leaves behind three loving sisters Viola Gaines of Mount Vernon New York.

Three brothers: Claude Willis of Virginia, Leory Willis of Arizonia and Percy David Willis
jr. [deceased[ and a host of nieces and nephews
